Nova Siberian Huskies

Nova Siberian Huskies

Puppy Purchase Agreement

When purchasing one of Nova Siberian Huskies' puppies;

The buyer agrees:

1.To have the puppy examined by their veterinarian within 72 hours after purchase.

2.To continue with their puppy's vaccination schedule as recommended by their vet.

3. To provide yearly vet exams and all annual boosters for the rest of their dog's life.

4. To have their puppy spayed/neutered before 6 months of age, unless other arrangements have been made with us.

5. To provide their dog with adequate housing away from the elements. The dog is not to be housed outside. He/ she shall live indoors with the buyer's family and shall NEVER be left on a chain for extended periods of time OR in extreme weather conditions.

6.  To provide their husky with a nutritious diet necessary to maintain the dog's proper body weight as determined by their vet. Quality food (Blue Buffalo, Wellness, etc) is essential for your puppy's overall health.  A 30 lb bag, which will last around 1.5-2 months, will cost around $50. New owners must be prepared to spend this much on their dog's food.

7. To consistently train and socialize their dog (we recommend daily walking, attending obedience class, doggy daycare, visiting dog parks and pet stores frequently, etc.).

8. The buyer shall groom and care for this dog in a manner consistent with the recommendations of the AKC and the Siberian Husky Club of America.

We trust in the love that you have agreed to provide your husky with. We sell to pet-homes ONLY. We DO NOT sell to puppy mills or anyone purchasing a dog for the sole purpose of providing monetary gain to the owner. Your dog will be a part of your pack and live in your home with you as a part of your family. We will not make the decision about whether or not your dog will be spayed or neutered, we trust that you are intelligent enough to make that decision in your own home with your own family. However, we would like you to understand that your puppy will receive Limited AKC Registration with no breeding rights unless arrangements have been made with us. We ask that if you do arrange for Full AKC Registration and choose to allow your dog to be bred, that you are responsible and educated about the risks and responsibilities that come with breeding. We suggest that if you have no intention of breeding your husky that you spay or neuter him/her as soon as possible, to prevent unintended litters. We can help you find a low-cost spay/neuter clinic in your area if you just ask!

Nova Siberian Huskies:

1. Guarantees that the puppy has had proper care prior to the purchase date and has been checked by a veterinarian.

2.Guarantees all of their puppies against congenital defects and any communicable diseases at time of purchase. The puppy must be examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours after purchase, and the veterinarian must determine that the puppy's illness was in fact present at the time of purchase, or that it's defect was present at birth.

3. Guarantees all of their dogs against congenital defects causing death or making euthanasia necessary until 2 years (24 months) of age. A licensed veterinarian must write a letter to Nova Siberian Huskies describing the condition and explaining that in their professional opinion the defect was indeed congenital.

4. Offers a 2 year guarantee against hip dysplasia. To make use of this guarantee the buyer must have an x-ray done which is to be submitted to the OFA for a consultation and the dog is to be found moderately or severely affected.

To make use of these guarantees the buyer shall notify Nova Siberian Huskies and provide documentation from the licensed veterinarian describing the puppy's condition. The buyer must then return the puppy and registration papers within one week of the examination when the problem was found. Nova Siberian Huskies will then replace the puppy with one of equal value at their convenience OR refund the purchase price. The guarantee is non-transferable, it applies to the original owner of the dog who signed this agreement. Nova Siberian Huskies is not responsible for any and all veterinarian expenses accumulated on a dog/ puppy.

Limitations of  guarantee: Nova Siberian Huskies reserves the right to review all medical records and  have our vet check any puppy in question. This guarantee shall be considered void if one or more of the following is present:

1. Evidence of neglect or abuse

2. Evidence of obesity or malnourishment

3. Previous related trauma

4. The dog having been bred

5. Any part of the buyer's side of agreement is not executed

The average lifespan of a Siberian Husky is 10-15 years. When you make a husky a part of your family it is vital that you understand the commitment you are making, which is loving and caring for your dog for the entirety of it's life. We understand that there may be a difficult situation that arises in your life which makes it impossible to keep your dog. In such a case we ask that that you never surrender your husky to an animal shelter or rescue.  If you ever need to re-home your husky for any reason, please contact us and  we will either assist you in finding him/her a suitable new home OR we will take your husky in.
